A plate wall is one of the simplest ways to freshen up a room.
Whether you’re redecorating or you simply need a change, arranging dinnerware in the upright position isn’t all that hard. There are three steps: clear a wall space, acquire plates and plate hangers, and arrange. You can create shapes or keep them uniform; either way they appear sophisticated—and come without the crafty DIY look.
The plates you choose are obviously the most important decision in designing (note: the classic blue and white porcelain theme never fails.) You can scout flea markets and antique stores or become inspired by these more contemporary picks from local vendors:
