These Are the 10 Cheapest Condos for Sale Right Now
Just because there are plenty of Bostonians willing to pay more than $1,000 per square foot for a condo doesn’t mean that you have to.
It’s possible to find a place in the range of $300 per square foot if you look hard enough, and real estate data firm NeighborhoodX is here to prove it—a new report has compiled the 10 cheapest condos for sale in Boston.
While they’re not jaw-dropping brownstones with marble fireplaces, these no-frills units are all asking less than $170,000. They range from $134,900 for a condo in Hyde Park to $169,900 for a place in Dorchester’s Codman Square. (Compare that to the most affordable condo in Jamaica Plain, which asks $349,000.) On a per-square-foot basis, the asking prices range from $161 per square foot to $405 per square foot.
The most affordable market-rate condos can be found in Dorchester, with others sprinkled in Hyde Park and Mattapan. Looking for a bargain? See complete list below.
