Fenway Park Ranked as One of the Top Landmarks in the Country
According to millions of reviews on TripAdvisor, one of the best places to visit in the United States is right here in Boston.
This week, a report from the Needham-based travel planning and booking site ranked the nation’s top landmarks. Fenway Park, of course, emerged a winner. Out of 25 notable spots across the country, the beloved home of the Boston Red Sox clocked in at number 13.
To determine its Travelers’ Choice award winners, TripAdvisor ran an algorithm that accounted for the quantity and quality of reviews, as well as ratings for landmarks over the past year. Overall, Fenway has racked up more than 11,000 reviews and a 4-and-a-half star rating. It’s labeled as the number one thing to do in Boston on the site.
It seems America’s oldest operating Major League ballpark is no match for the Golden Gate Bridge, which was deemed the first-place winner. Fenway did, however, beat out places like Mount Rushmore, the Washington Monument, and Seattle’s Space Needle.
There are plenty of things that make Fenway awesome, but a few days ago, a reviewer from Texas summed up Boston’s claim to fame pretty nicely: “What can I say…You have to go.”
