1228499332FuGaKyu Turns 10 Special Menu
Dec. 1-31, Restaurant hours

We love that the name sounds like a sneeze and a slur, so we’ll definitely join the party for FuGaKyu‘s tenth B-day. Throughout the entire month of December, the restaurant will offer a special celebration menu using ingredients such as apple, watermelon, and pickled daikon to create traditional Japanese cuisine.

A Family Affair
Every Tuesday and Friday night from 5:30-8 p.m.
Aura, Seaport Hotel

We know some particular South Enders loathe children raining on their dinner party. Those of us who have little ones prefer to go places where families are welcomed with open tables. Thank you, Aura, for hosting an impromptu “Romper Room” on Tuesday and Friday nights, complete with an adult prix fixe and accompanying kids menu. Does that mean we can feel free to fling the foie gras?

BOKX 109 Wine Dinner
Dec. 6, 6:30 p.m.

BOKX 109 American Prime at the Hotel Indigo, 399 Grove St., Newton
We sure have heard a lot about Newton’s Hotel Indigo. We know certain celebrities like to stay there because it’s the ultimate luxury experience far and away from the melee that can be the city. It’s a great time to book a dinner reservation, since Alasatian winemaker Philippe Blanck of Domaine Paul Blanck will be visiting from France, and showcasing some of his top wines with a French-inspired, multi-course menu.

1228499378Italian Wine Tasting and Sale
Dec. 7, 2-4 p.m.
Tomasso Trattoria, Southborough

Taste before you buy! Guests will be welcomed to sip more than 100 wines (not all at once, folks…), and learn about where each bottle came from by talking with wine experts. The walk around, casual tasting of Italy’s finest reds and whites will include tastings of chef Justin Melnick‘s antipasti. Plus, all the bottles will be offered at a discount for guests only at Panzano Provviste e Vino.
