The Rose Kennedy Greenway Expands “Greenway Mobile Eats” Program

This morning, the folks behind the Rose Kennedy Greenway announced an expansion in their “Greenway Mobile Eats Program,” an initiative that brought trucks and carts like Clover Food Lab and Lefty’s Silver Cart to the long strip of downtown parks last year. Building on that success, they’ve brought on seven additional vendors (making 16 total), including some familiar faces (Kick*ss Cupcakes, Roxy’s Grilled Cheese) and some newbies (Yo Taco). Some trucks and carts will be in place on May 1st, and all will be present and accounted for by Memorial Day. Here’s the full list of vendors and locations ahead:

*Anthem – (On the Freedom Trail in the North End Parks) This kiosk will sell crepes and frozen desserts, including ice cream cookie sandwiches made with locally sourced products.

*Culinary Cruisers – (Near the Carousel and Harbor Islands Pavilion) Culinary Cruisers’ bicycle cart will be selling hand-made, fresh fruit popsicles in exotic flavors such as ginger-grapefruit, watermelon, and spicy pineapple.

Boston Pushcart – (Near the Carousel and Harbor Islands Pavilion) Community favorite Joe Bono, owner of North End restaurants Al Dente and Benevento’s, will offer a classic pushcart menu including lobster rolls.

Beantown Franks ‘n Spuds – (Rings Fountain, near Milk Street and Atlantic Avenue) This solar-powered cart will offer hot dogs and baked potatoes.

Grilled Cheese Nation – (Across from the Rings Fountain at Milk Street and Atlantic Avenue) This returning food truck will sell items like grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup, and salads, using produce from local farms and suppliers.

Silk Road BBQ – (Rowes Wharf Plaza, at High Street and Atlantic Avenue) – This kiosk will once again sell its award-winning charcoal- grilled global fusion BBQ, salads, and free hot tea.

*Roxy’s Grilled Cheese – (Across from Rowes Wharf Plaza, and in Chinatown Park) Fresh from their exciting run on the TV Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race, this new truck will sell a variety of inventive sandwiches.

*Yo Taco – (Across from Rowes Wharf Plaza) This new kiosk will sell handmade tacos and burritos.

*Renula’s Greek Kitchen – (Dewey Square Park, between Congress Street and Atlantic Avenue) Renula’s will offer a wide array of traditional Greek Island fare from their food cart.

Lefty’s Silver Cart – (Dewey Square Park, between Congress Street and Atlantic Avenue) This returning trailer will sell fresh, local, organic soups, salads and sandwiches (along with loaning out free picnic blankets to enhance the outdoor dining experience).

Clover Food Lab – (Dewey Square, across from South Station) This popular and influential food truck is bio-diesel powered and offers vegetarian sandwiches, soups, and salads.

Bon Me – (Dewey Square, across from South Station) A returning truck, Bon Me will sell chef-driven fresh Vietnamese food.

BBQ Smith – (Dewey Square, across from South Station) A favorite food truck, in a new location. Offering healthy, flavorful American BBQ for people on the go.

*Kick*ss Cupcakes – (Dewey Square, and Chinatown Park) All-natural cupcakes, made from scratch daily.

*Boston Harbor Ice Cream Company – (Roaming) Selling Emack & Bolio ice cream and frozen yogurt.

*Equal Exchange Free Range Cafe – (Roaming) Bicycle cart selling organic, locally roasted Fair Trade coffee.
