Sweetgreen to Open Second Location in Boston

The Washington D.C.-based chain, sweetgreen, is set to open its second Boston location.

Sweetgreen, the popular organic, farm-to-table salad shop, is opening its second location in Boston on April 2 at 372 Congress Street in Fort Point. This will be the 24th location for the Washington, D.C.-based chain, which was launched in 2007.

Ever since opening, sweetgreen has been dedicated to sourcing their ingredients from local farmers and purveyors. The opening menu at Fort Point will include fruit from Ward’s Berry Farm, goat cheese from Westfield Farm, and bread from Iggy’s Bread of the World.

The Fort Point location will have 44 seats, an enlarged open kitchen to showcase sweetgreen’s in-house preparation of fresh ingredients, and a dedicated online ordering station to expedite take-out during rush hours.

In celebration of opening day, sweetgreen is inviting guests to “Pay What You Want” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with all proceeds benefiting Mass Farmers Markets, an organization that works to improve regional farm viability, increase access to healthy food, and advance social and economic development.

We can’t wait to offer our wholesome menu—including grains, rice, and seasonal soups, in addition to our locally sourced salads—to this mix of entrepreneurs, gallery-goers, families, and students in Fort Point.”
