Check Out the New Mei Mei Beer and Wine List

Since opening last November, the one glaring hole in an otherwise impeccable menu at Mei Mei Street Kitchen’s 36-seat brick and mortar was the lack of a libation stronger than cold brew coffee. Now that’s all changed as Mei Mei—after six months of petitioning the Licensing Board of the City of Boston—has finally been granted a wine and beer license. Starting this week, you’ll be able to drink prosecco on draft, over 10 wines by the glass and bottle, and several local canned craft brews to pair with all those pierogis, dumplings, and scallion pancake sandwiches.
“Our focus for wine was on Old World varietals from small family producers and women-owned vineyards with lots of organic and biodynamic options,” says co-owner Margaret “Mei” Li. “With the beer list, our focus is very local New England with lots of cans to maximize our small space, as well as some interesting session beers and some kick-ass big beers.”
In addition to carrying local breweries such as Jack’s Abby, Slumbrew, and Cambridge Brewing Company, Mei Mei will eventually incorporate a separate cider category with selections from Downeast and Bantam. Below is the debut menu:
