Boston Common Coffee Co. Hosting Doughnut Challenge

Come up with a winning doughnut idea and you'll receive a $100 gift card.

Boston Common Coffee Co. has launched its Doughnut Challenge, a crowd sourcing competition for its “Doughnut Thursday” menu. From here until September 3, the bakery and café will begin collecting submissions via social media for creative new doughnuts ideas to feature on their menu. Participants are being encouraged to think outside the box, with their best riffs on traditional stuffed, cake, or even vegan selections. Recent “Doughnut Thursday” confections have included a Nutella bacon, a honey buffalo chicken, a salty Ketel corn, and a vegan vanilla latte doughnut.

The chosen winner will receive a spot on Boston Common’s Thursday menu in addition to receiving a $100 gift card. Suggestions can be made through Facebook and Twitter, with the winner announced on Thursday, September 11.
