Boston Gets an Exclusive Taste of Kreuz Market Courtesy of Shake Shack

Probably the last place you’d look to find authentic Texas barbecue would be at Shake Shack. But for the next week, you can get a small taste of Kreuz Market‘s smoky beef and pork sausage atop a burger at both the Chestnut Hill and Harvard Square Shake Shack location. Exclusive to the Boston area, the special Lockhart Link Burger is being introduced in honor of Eater Boston’s Burger Week, as well as Danny Meyer’s upcoming Shake Shack outlet in Austin. The Lockhart Link Burger comes topped with ShackSauce, American cheese, pickles, and a griddled jalapeño cheese sausage link from Kreuz’s, a legendary Central Texas barbecue joint that’s been around for well over a century.
