New Cambridge Bon Me to Feature Expanded Menu
Fans of Bon Me’s ever-growing range of savory rice bowls, Asian noodle salads, and banh mi sandwiches have reason to rejoice. Husband-and-wife team Patrick Lynch and Ali Fong will be opening their third Bon Me brick and mortar location in Cambridge’s Fresh Pond rotary later this summer. Tentatively set to open in August, the new restaurant will feature a more diverse menu, which according to Erica Normandeau, a marketer for the restaurant group, will include “more specialty dishes, a ‘deluxe’ version of the pork ramen, and fried chicken.”
Bon Me’s ramen, which occasionally shows up as a special at their Kendall Square and Fort Point locations, contains a miso-based broth, Chinese barbecue pork, roasted asparagus (roasted butternut squash in fall and winter), a soft egg, and chili oil. The restaurant wouldn’t divulge what will make their newest ramen creation “deluxe.”
The new Fresh Pond Bon Me is located 201 Alewife Brook Parkway. In addition to the larger menu, the restaurant is also considering expanding its hours past their regular 8 p.m. closing time.
