Beard Papa’s Opens in Chinatown
Beard Papa’s, the Japanese-based cream puff chain, has opened only their second East Coast branch today in Chinatown. Through Wednesday, the store (located at 31 Harrison Avenue) will maintain soft-opening hours between 3 and 7 p.m. Afterward, on May 8, Beard Papa’s will host its grand opening with normal hours and a promotion of one free original vanilla cream puff for the first 100 customers.
The international chain, with over 300 locations worldwide, specializes in choux pastry shells filled-to-order with freshly whipped vanilla custard cream. Their trademark cream puffs are available in specialty flavors such as green tea, strawberry, Nutella, limoncello, coconut creme, almond eclair, azuki bean, dulce de leche, pumpkin, and sweet potato.
Beard Papa’s cream puffs are made with all natural ingredients with no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. This is the chain’s second go-round in Boston, after a failed first attempt in Quincy Market.
