Friendly’s Is Hosting a Free Ice Cream Pop-Up at Lawn on D on July 24

July is National Ice Cream Month (thanks, Ronald Reagan!), and to celebrate, Friendly’s will be doling out free frozen treats during a two-hour pop-up at the Lawn on D. The event will take place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 24.

Throughout the afternoon, ambassadors from the Massachusetts-based restaurant chain will hand out a variety of Sundae Snack Cups, including the Original Fudge and Ice Cream Cake flavors.

The pop-up is part of the Lawn on D’s Lunch Break on D series, which began in May and will continue at the venue through October. On July 24, in addition to the free Friendly’s ice cream, visitors will also be able to purchase food from M+M Ribs and Sheherazad. The venue’s signature swings and lawn games will be available for enjoyment, and 3 Sudacas, a band of three students from Berklee College of Music, will provide the soundtrack for the afternoon.
