Row 34 Hosts Weekend Holiday Popups Featuring Works By Fort Point Artists
Holiday shopping can be a daunting task. Running from store to store, bumping shoulders with other frantic shoppers, waiting in countless lines—it’s enough to leave you reaching for a drink or two. Row 34, one of our favorite beer bars, is a great place to hide out from the malls. Especially because they’re bringing the shopping, and the booze, to you, with their holiday pop-up store.
Starting this weekend, you can stop by Row 34 for complimentary bites and beverages, and a unique shopping experience taking over their Cooler Room for the next three Sunday evenings. Underneath the restaurant’s towering art installation made from 36 galvanized steel oyster sorters, you can sip on drinks, enjoy fresh seafood, and peruse local artists’ work.
Billing itself as “a workingman’s oyster bar,” the Fort Point restaurant boasts a menu deeply rooted in New England’s famous seafood traditions. In keeping with their community-driven ethos, they’re celebrating Fort Point’s array of diverse and nationally recognized artists, whose studios surround Row 34’s Congress Street setting.
Here, you’ll find unique gifts for loved ones—or maybe yourself—that you’d never find in a mall, such as Gabrielle Schaffner’s ceramics, Wendy Bergman’s handmade jewelry, and Fiona Stoltze’s hand-dyed printed textiles. Check out the full roster of participating artists below:
