Uber Will Drive You to Harpoon Brewery For Free This Month

Uber celebrated five years of carting riders around the Boston area and beyond this fall. To toast the occasion, its fleet of drivers want to take you to Harpoon Brewery.
Every Friday in November, the ride-sharing service will offer free UberPool rides (up to $20) to the Seaport taproom. Just enter the promo code “BOS5YEAR” in the app, chart a course to Harpoon, and hit the road. Uber will also cover your first round—flash your ride receipt when you arrive and receive a $10 Harpoon gift card.
“We’re celebrating five years in this incredible city with the riders and drivers who make it move,” Uber shares on its website. “We want to thank everyone who has been a part of this ride and celebrate our journey together.”
The promotion is valid all day on Fridays, giving drinkers a chance to sip the brewery’s many taproom-only beers during lunch and dinner. In light of the festivities, Harpoon is pouring a rotating pilot brew series called 5 Year Beer, which will vary each week.
“To us, there’s no better way to mark a special occasion than by rounding up friends, coming to the brewery, and having a beer,” says Liz Melby, director of communications for Harpoon.
The promotion can only be redeemed once per rider. Uber has 5,000 of these comped trips, according to its website, and Melby says the reception has been strong since the promotion began on October 28, so claim your ride quickly.
