Just in time for the hottest days of the year, the team behind Charlestown’s Pier 6 is making a splash on the city’s al fresco dining scene. The group’s new ReelHouse restaurant, in the Eddy apartment complex on the East Boston waterfront, boasts panoramic views of the harbor and skyline from a sprawling 133-seat patio and sleek, granite-topped outdoor bar. Yacht-themed décor, tropical cocktails, and a seafood-focused menu (including shrimp toast, swordfish tacos, and shellfish platters) from Pigalle and Beehive alum Marc Orfaly only add to the festive summertime vibe. Accessible by public water taxi, the restaurant will begin offering gratis three-minute boat rides to and from Pier 6 this month for ocean-breeze-seeking patio-hoppers. “I’m calling it Nantucket meets Miami,” the chef says of his latest project.
