Here’s a surefire way to stay warm on a sub-freezing night in Boston: Fire up an order of the spiciest hot chicken that the Sweet Cheeks Q team has ever put on the menu. Three, new, Scoville-scaling spice blends launch tonight with Sweet Cheeks’ Hot Chicken Night, which continues every Monday as a way to kickstart the week.

Inspired by the Nashville specialty, Sweet Cheeks’ hot chicken uses buttermilk-brined and fried thighs and legs; and the Fenway barbecue restaurant also has a gluten-free, smoked version on the menu. With either style, ordered by the tray or bucket, diners are signing up for a scorcher: The house recipe of spices and chilis starts at “hot AF,” then escalates to two spicier, more esoteric levels: I Hate You, and I’m Never Coming Back. Don’t think you can handle the heat? Chef Tiffani Faison has nothing to apologize for. She’ll serve cooling condiments, plus comforting sides like “church basement pasta salad” (we love that stuff!), ranch potato salad, and Nate’s cornbread; plus zesty 7 Up cake for dessert.

Hot Chicken Night happens at Sweet Cheeks every Monday for the foreseeable future. Can’t get enough of this extra-spicy specialty? Plan a hot chicken crawl this winter. Kendall Square bar State Park has it as a menu staple; and Southern Proper does it in the South End.

Check out Sweet Cheeks’ full Hot Chicken Night menu below. It’s available, in addition to the regular dinner menu, every Monday night from 5-10 p.m.
