Narragansett Beer has released the latest “Chapter” in their popular line of H.P. Lovecraft-inspired beers. A collaborative project with head brewer Sean Larkin’s other Rhode Island brewery, Revival Brewing Company, Narragansett’s Innsmouth Olde Ale (7% ABV) is an English-style Olde Ale brewed with a combination of Two-Row Pale, Crystal, Cara, Dark Munich, and Chocolate malts, Chocolate rye, and a finishing touch of Summit and East Kent Goldings hops.

Chapter 2 in their newest series draws inspiration from Lovecraft’s “The Shadow Over Innsmouth,” a novella that chronicles an ominous visit to the fictional seaside town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts. The dark, malty brew is meant to  represent the shadow that hangs over the town of Innsmouth and its strange, amphibian-like inhabitants. The label illustration was designed by famed Lovecraftian and Rhode Island artist, Jason C. Eckhardt.

Narragansett’s Innsmouth Olde Ale is available in six packs of 16-ounce tallboy cans, with distribution throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., North Carolina, and Portland, Oregon.
