Shake Shack Is Teaming Up with Union Square Donuts on a Limited-Edition Custard
Lately, it’s been getting a little easier to satisfy a craving for Union Square Donuts without having to trek to its main outpost in Somerville. In addition to being one of the 40 permanent vendors selling goods inside the recently opened Boston Public Market, the doughnut dealer has now also offered its handcrafted treats to Shake Shack, to be used in a limited-edition frozen custard creation.
Shake Shacks all over the country are collaborating with local doughnut providers for the “Coffee & Doughnuts Concrete,” a vanilla frozen custard blended with coffee marshmallow sauce and a glazed cake doughnut. Union Square Donuts will provide the glazed cake doughnuts for the Shake Shacks in Massachusetts. Partners in a few other cities include Doughnut Plant in New York, Glazed & Infused in Chicago, and Round Rock Donuts in Austin.
The “Coffee & Doughnuts Concrete” will be available all throughout August and will cost $4.75 for a single and $6.75 for a double serving. You can get the Union Square Donuts version at any of the four local locations: Newbury Street, Harvard Square, the Street in Chestnut Hill, and Legacy Place in Dedham.
