Mayor Walsh to Host a Beer Garden at City Hall Plaza This Week
You’ve read about boat blowouts that Rob Gronkowski has thrown, but have you ever wondered what a party hosted by Mayor Marty Walsh would look like?
Wonder no more: Boston’s mayor is hosting Beer Garden on the Bricks at City Hall Plaza this Wednesday, June 15, to welcome in the summer weather with local food and drink, live entertainment, and a few party games for good measure. The bash is among events that are part of the mayor’s effort to make the plaza a more viable event space, according to a press release. Admission is free and open to anyone over 21.
While you’re socializing around City Hall after work on Wednesday, nosh on food from vendors like Roxy’s Grilled Cheese and Chinatown’s Double Chin. Courtesy of a pop-up bar by Wanderlush cocktail catering, there will be pints from area breweries like Aeronaut and Somerville Brewing Company. Keep an eye on the beer garden’s Facebook page for other announcements.
The beer garden is sponsored by SPARK Boston, Boston Main Streets Foundation, and Mayor Walsh’s Civic Engagement Cabinet. It’s predicted to be nice and sunny this week afternoon, so get downtown and toast to a well-deserved summer.
Wednesday, June 15, 5-8 p.m., Fisher Park, City Hall Plaza, Boston.
