It’s an exciting time for Blackbird Doughnuts: The standout bakers are in the midst of finalizing a lease for a second Boston shop (owner Rebecca Roth Gullo can’t say where just yet), gearing up for an expansion in early 2017.

And then, the South End business got huge ups from one of the world’s biggest celebrities. Adele told the sold-out crowd at the TD Garden last night that she treated herself to a couple Blackbird doughnuts.

Roth Gullo says the team is “totally starstruck.” They aren’t sure if Adele herself visited the shop; nobody saw her, but head baker Anna Perna did recognize a guest she couldn’t quite place, she told her boss.

“When she’s not dressed up, she looks like us,” Roth Gullo says.

But the pop diva definitely had a Boston cream bismarck. In fact, she told her fans she had four of them—Roth Gullo admits she thinks that’s hyperbole—and there’s reason to believe she’ll have some more today. Later last night, the Blackbird team got an email from someone in Adele’s entourage saying they plan to come in for another round before her second night at the TD Garden.

It’s not the first time the restaurant group—which also includes the Gallows and Banyan Bar + Refuge—has hosted celebrities; Bill Clinton has supped on Gallows fare, and they have seen “every sports celebrity you can think of,” Roth Gullo says. But they usually keep it to themselves, to protect guests’ privacy. (She spoke out about the Clinton visit, because the former president sent them a nice thank-you note, Roth Gullo says.)

“If you want to come in and eat doughnuts, we want you to come in and eat as many as you want. If you want to tell people about it, we’re OK with that! But we don’t talk about it. We want people to enjoy themselves and not be inundated with our fandom,” she says.

As far as the shoutout from Adele goes, “We thank her greatly,” Roth Gullo says. “We’re total fans. We play her music all the time in the shop. This is hugely exciting to us.”

While she’s been in Boston, Adele has also visited the Barneys New York at Copley Place, per a Boston mag tipster, Legoland Discovery Center and the zoo, 7 News reporter Nancy Chen tweeted, and she had pork three ways at an unnamed restaurant, according to the Boston Globe.

UPDATE, 3 p.m.: Adele dined at Troquet, the restaurant revealed.
