Blaze Pizza Fires Up Free Pizza for Boston Common Opening

A pizzeria chain spreading like wildfire in the Boston area this year just debuted its third local shop. Blaze Pizza opened yesterday at CityPlace, near Boston Common and Emerson College, and it’s greeting the new neighborhood with free fare on Wednesday, December 21.

Blaze, which launched in 2012, now has more than 150 North American restaurants, with help from high-profile investors like LeBron James, Red Sox co-owner Tom Werner, and Maria Shriver and Patrick Schwarzenegger. In Massachusetts, BGR Hospitality is the franchise group behind the brand. Blaze opened near Lechmere in June, and in Fenway earlier this fall. Up next: Blaze is headed for Burlington next summer.

Toppings like applewood-smoked bacon, salami, banana peppers, sautéed onion, zucchini, goat cheese, vegan cheese, and more are available at Blaze, and personal pizzas are assembled Chipotle-line style and fired up in 180 seconds.
