Backstage Pass: Meet the Team Behind Boston’s Hottest Summer Events
With another year almost coming to a close, we’re thrilled to see off another summer that was filled with fabulous magazine events! From honoring Boston’s top businesses at Best Fest 2016 at City Hall Plaza to tasting the city’s most delicious burgers and barbecue at our Battle of the Burger and The Cue extrvaganzas in Seaport, we never could have done it without our go-to crew of expert technologists and Lighting designers of Frost Productions.
Through dazzling displays of sound, video and light design, here’s how they kept our parties going all season!
They supplied the stage, lighting, and power for Best Fest, The Cue and Battle of the Burger.
After 30 years of producing Boston and New York City’s most exciting events, Frost’s experts had no problem setting the stage for an entertaining evening of live music and delicious foods at Best Fest.
From generators and audio equipment to lights that illuminated the band and event signage, as well as highlighting for all the sponsors sinage, funcational lighting for chefs and decorative lighting in the VIP Area, they truly managed every aspect and esnsured our live concert sounded spectacular.
They created a dance floor near in the center of City Hall Plaza
Having designed lighting and created elegant atmospheres for events at prestigious venues like the Boston Public Library, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and Museum of Fine Arts, we knew we could count on the crew from Frost to reimagine City Hall Plaza as a dance floor as our Best Fest 2016 bands played!
By illuminating the central area in sponsor Skyy Vodka signature blue they created an inviting space for guests to get down. Plus, they made sure partgoers were fed by supplying the event’s sixteen chefs with electrical services for cooking as well as functional lighting.
They allowed for great flow in our Government Center venue.
When we started planning Best Fest 2016, we knew we’d need help making the best use of the incredible outdoor venue space that would be packed with guests in mere minutes.
Thankfully, Frost’s thoughtful design and lighting plans—which included decorative elements like their Gold Hellios chandeliers in the VIP bar area and large, illuminated balloons placed around the venue—ensured guests could get around and view important signage and areas with ease.
They helped us brand our back-to-back burger and BBQ event.
As our official provider of sound, lighting, power distribution, and generators for our delicious Battle of the Burger and The Cue events, we also relied on Frost to make sure that some of the venue’s existing lighting at the Cruiseport matched the color theme of that evenings event.
Through the use of LED lighting that changed colors (to be purple on the night of The Cue and red the night of Battle of the Burger), they successfully created the overall atmosphere, with guests sipping cocktails and eating Boston’s best burgers in a space that had a spectacular ambiance.
