As principal of Robin Gannon Interiors, Robin Gannon’s designs reflect each client’s unique tastes, incorporating pieces from across decades and centuries to create timeless interiors. When Gannon set out to transform this penthouse living room, she kept in mind the main attraction: the stunning, wrap-around view. The modern space is accented with unique angles—such as in the dining room table and the sitting area’s oak-backed swivel chairs—that provide visual interest but don’t block the line of sight. The expansive windows are framed with sheer fabric draperies that allow sunlight to filter into the space even when closed. “The light is amazing in this space, and the horizontal stripe keeps your eye level with the horizon,” Gannon says. “It’s all about the view!”
