There’s a new hotel in Times Square, and it’s offering an Irish welcome. Called the Merrion Row Hotel + Public House, the boutique lodging opened this month in the heart of midtown Manhattan. To celebrate its grand opening, the place is offering 20 percent off room rates.
The Merrion is, of course, Irish-inspired, drawing from the Irish saying cead mile failte, or “100,000 welcomes,” and sneaking touches of Dublin in every nook and cranny. Rooms, which feature palettes of blue and green, are adorned with framed photographs of the Irish countryside. Plus, off of the lobby, a lively on-site pub called the Public House serves up hearty fare with Irish twists, like Guinness shepherd’s pie empanadas.
Bostonians heading to Times Square between now and February 2019 can use the code “GRAND” when booking.
