It’s a New Englander’s quandary: You start dating a great person, only to find out they’ve never strapped into a pair of skis. Rather than hemming and hawing over how to address this, Vermont’s Woodstock Inn & Resort can take care of it for you. The inn’s “Teach Your Honey How to Ski” package (funny name, deluxe offering) mixes ski lessons in with a luxurious overnight stay and a couple of après ski cocktails, making an introduction to skiing light and fun, not forced, pressured, and obviously very-important-to you.
The package starts at $510 per night, and includes one night’s stay at the Woodstock Inn & Resort, a two-hour private lesson for a beginner, two lift tickets, and cocktails. Plus, the Woodstock Inn is as cozy as they come, offering a huge fireplace to curl up beside in the lobby, a game room with a giant Scrabble board, and an athletic club. The package also comes with access to the club’s indoor pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, and fitness equipment.
