The Wauwinet Hotel’s Newly Designed Private Cottage Comes with a BMW
The three-bedroom Anchorage House has a brand-new interior thanks to design darlings Serena & Lily.
Summer just got a little more stylish on Nantucket thanks to a chic facelift to the Anchorage House, the Wauwinet hotel’s three bedroom private cottage. The seaside home, nestled in between two private beaches and across the street from the main inn, was completely redesigned for the 2019 season by famed California-based decor duo Serena & Lily.
Lucky renters will get to feel like a successful business magnate with a seaside home, because the two-story space is perched on its own courtyard and comes with a set of keys to a 2019 BMW 760L SUV. But don’t expect to work too hard: Visitors will still have access to all of the inn’s bikes, kayaks, tennis courts, and chaise lounges sprinkled around the grand oceanfront lawn.
The Anchorage House’s interior was inspired by the dreamy vistas of the Atlantic with a navy and golden-sand color scheme and breezy coastal aesthetic. In the living room, you’ll find blue and white striped throw pillows and nautical-inspired watercolor prints. Fans of Serena & Lily will be happy to see new furniture from the brand’s collection throughout from the Costa Sofa with hand-braided water hyacinth over a wood frame, to the Truro Side Table with clamshell veneer top, to the dining table with signature white and blue Riviera dining chairs. Other decorative accents include handwoven rattan, brass lighting fixtures, and nautical rope mirrors. Don’t worry, the house has its own deck, which was also thoughtfully transformed into an outdoor oasis with landscaped gardens and driftwood-inspired furniture.
All this for just $1895 a night! If you can’t find some friends to split it with you, a room at the Wauwinet comes with a smaller price tag, but an equally luxurious interior that recently underwent its own multi-million-dollar renovation, unveiled this spring.
Or for significantly less, plan to stop by the new Serena & Lily shop set to open for the first time in the state in Chestnut Hill Square this fall and pick up a throw pillow or two for your apartment. You won’t have the ocean views, the BMW, or the five-star service, but you will have a cuter couch. To inquire about reservations, visit wauwinet.com.
