High-Tech Blooms for Brides
In need of fabulous petals or yummy treats for your Big Day? H.Bloom is a new online floral provider serving Boston, Cambridge, and Brookline. Brides sign up for a wedding consultation on the website and then meet with the floral designer in person, much like a traditional florist. However, the proprietary software behind H.Bloom was developed by a rocket scientist and allows the company to track real-time pricing of flowers and order them down to a stem.
When asked what makes H.Bloom unique, CEO Bryan Burkhart explains: “With no retail shop and a process that allows us to plan inventory down to each stem, we come from a very different background than traditional florists. This allows us pass on savings to customers and to focus more on customer service and the design of each and every bouquet. We’ve also been relentlessly committed to making it easy for our clients to order luxury flowers through subscriptions, the iPhone app, and our wedding consultants. We love working with brides and helping to fulfill their vision for the perfect day.”
Brides can also order goodies from local vendors — chocolates from L.A. Burdick and baked goods from Tatte — through the same app, making it “extremely convenient for brides to order all those last-minute gifts that are easy to forget when planning a wedding.” Burkhart says.
Beyond nuptials, H.Bloom offers a flower subscription service and delivers one-time gifts and event arrangements to consumer and corporate clients. In addition to Boston, the service is currently available in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. And, they plan to launch in at least five additional cities in the coming months.
