‘Toast the Firsts’ Wine Bottle Covers Help You Do Just That

The 12 months following your blissful wedding day are chock-full of husband-and-wife firsts. There’s your first fight, your first dinner party, your first home. And, take it from us, some of these “firsts” would be better served up with a glass of wine. Or perhaps an entire bottle.

Toast the Firsts has you covered. Or at least has your wine covered. A fun way to commemorate occasions during your first year together, these fabric wine slipcovers fit over standard 750 ml bottles and offer a smile and a sip during those notable—and sometimes trying—times.

“We want couples to take a moment to enjoy some of the milestones in the first year of marriage, and ‘toast the first’ of many great moments to come,” says Toast the Firsts cofounder Rena Gottlieb, who first started developing the business with her sister Lara in early 2014 and launched the set this past March.

“The soon-to-be newlyweds receive cookware and bedding as pre-wedding gifts, but we wanted to be able to give the couple a fun gift that they could enjoy and that would celebrate their marriage,” adds Lara.

Each package sells for $19.99 and features a set of six fabric covers creatively decorated with graphics to signify whatever the special “first” is you’re celebrating. Of course, the path leads to the “Toast Your First Anniversary” cover, adorned with two clinking wine glasses and wedding rings.

The complete set includes: First Visit from the In-Laws, First Fight (which can sometimes follow the first visit from the in-laws), First New Year’s, First Dinner Party, First Valentine’s Day, and First Anniversary.
