Wedding Venue Spotlight: Spirit of Boston
You want everyone to look their best at your wedding—even your wedding venue. One of Entertainment Cruises’ luxury yachts has just returned to the waters of Boston Harbor after a $2.5 million ship facelift, with a brand-new look for your big day. Welcome back to the Spirit of Boston.
“Modern-day weddings are all about your personal stamp and are trending less and less toward tradition,” says Entertainment Cruises’ wedding director, Katie Toole. “There are very few venues anywhere, not just Boston, that are as unique as a beautifully renovated cruise ship to get married on.”
The Spirit of Boston now features everything you would want to make waves with your urban wedding: swanky interior lounges, modern furniture, an additional outdoor bar, remodeled interior bars, and new innovative dance floors with state-of-the-art DJ booths.
Your guests can mingle and dance, but they can also play larger-than-life Jenga, shuffleboard, bean bag toss, and table games; they can also smile pretty with their photo booth. The Spirit also has eye-catching kiosks displaying local sports memorabilia, Harbor Islands sites, and historical landmarks.
Every aspect of Spirit weddings are customizable. The ship can accommodate groups as small as 20 and as big as 300 in a single room, with the average celebration placed in the 150-200 range. With multiple floors and a variety of different indoor and outdoor spaces, you can be extremely creative when it comes to accommodating your group.
The majority of wedding parties utilize a buffet-style meal, and Spirit uses food stations to throw a creative twist into the typical buffet setup.
The views you’ll take in from the water truly encapsulate what it means to experience Boston—you might even consider this a destination wedding, even for your local pals.
Let’s face it. You’ve got the city spirit. It’s time to show your guests just how much.
