A Parting Shot from Michele Truhe and Whitney Yuska’s Wedding
It was a chilly, dreary Sunday when Michele Truhe and Whitney Yuska tied the knot this past fall at Alden & Harlow, in Harvard Square, but they weren’t about to let a few sprinkles rain on their parade. After the couple said “I do” inside the restaurant, their photographer, Zac Wolf, suggested they head outdoors for a few portraits as dusk began to fall. It was the weekend of Oktoberfest, and Brattle Street, which had been closed to traffic all day, was about to reopen. Serendipitously, just as it did, “this giant truck lit us from behind,” Whitney says. “It kept coming closer and I remember Zac saying, ‘This is worth it—the pictures are so good.” Clutching clear umbrellas they’d ordered online, the newlyweds kissed, held hands, and celebrated their marriage in the autumn rain. “Aside from being cold, the weather didn’t really matter,” Michele says. “We were just filled with so much love from the people around us, it was a non-factor.”
