Choose a Color The fairer your skin is, the softer (read: less vibrant) the blush color should be. Richer, deeper colors work best for medium and dark skin tones.
Prep Your Skin Before using cream blush, first apply other wet makeup products, such as creamy foundations and tinted moisturizers. You don’t want to layer powders underneath cream blush—that’s a big no-no!
Apply Like a Pro Using a medium-size, soft-angled blush brush, dab the product onto the apples of your cheeks and, working outward, move your brush in C-shaped strokes toward your temples. Work in small amounts, building sheer layers. You can always add more—taking some away is much harder!
