Seven Random Wedding Vendors You Probably Haven’t Thought Of
Including an attendant who will prep, pamper, and pet-sit your pup during the festivities.
Delivering the latest in style, inspiration, helpful tips and tricks, and everything else you need to know to plan the perfect New England wedding.
You’ve already booked a band, a caterer, and a florist, but those aren’t the only pros you’ll need to make wedding-day magic. Read on for seven local vendors you might not have considered, but who you’ll most definitely want on hand for the moment you say “I do.”
A Pet Attendant
There’s no reason your favorite furry family member shouldn’t be by your side on your special day, but having Fido in attendance will require a bit of extra help and planning. For the Love of Paws Boston will not only handle pet pickup and transportation on your wedding day, they’ll also dress your pup for the occasion and provide pet-sitting services at your event. For an ultra-luxe option, owner Danielle Engel also offers a “diamond” package, which includes spa services for your pet a week before the wedding. The certified dog trainer can also work with you ahead of your wedding to train your pet for tasks such as walking down the aisle and posing for photos.
A Social Media Strategist
Having trouble coming up with a witty wedding hashtag, or want to have a killer wedding-day Instagram story without being glued to your phone all evening? Enter Hitched with a Hashtag. Boasting a collective decade of experience, gurus Megan DeWaele Bieber and Jessica Myers will provide support in all things social media from the planning stages through the wedding day, including coordinating posts with your photographer and other vendors. With a little help from these pros, your wedding will be instant #goals.
A Chic Restroom Vendor
If you’re planning an outdoor celebration, you’ll need to find a way to make bathrooms available to guests. Not thrilled with the idea of a porta potty? Call Mattapoisett-based Luxury Loo, which provides stylish, petite structures modeled after shingled Cape Cod cottages. Featuring pastel paint and windows with charming flower boxes, the loos come with hands-free faucets, granite and marble vanities, and electric toilets. The crew will transport and install the restrooms at celebrations throughout New England, as well as pick them up at the end of your event.

A Cotton Candy Confectioner
Reawaken your guests’ sense of childlike wonder with sweet treats spun and served from a pint-sized cart. Le Petit Pouf founder Corinne Gregory and her “pouf artists” whip up small-batch cotton candy cones in specialty flavors such as champagne topped with gold sparkles and strawberry sprinkled with pop rocks. The team also offers package add-ons, including custom-labeled jars that guests can fill with their flavor and topping of choice and take home as favors.
A Bridal Stylist
Just as your planner oversees every detail of your event, a bridal stylist will help you avoid any sartorial mishaps and serve as your “lady-in-waiting” on your wedding day. Stylist Beth Chapman is one such fashion maven, who—after owning and operating her Connecticut-based bridal boutique, the White Dress by the Shore, for more than a decade—decided to extend her services. As your personal bridal stylist, she’ll help you identify your personal aesthetic and create a shopping itinerary ahead of your wedding. Then, when the day comes, she’ll be on hand to provide emergency fixes, keep an eagle eye out for any twisted straps or veils as you pose for photos, and provide a final gown fluff before you head down the aisle.
A Live Painter
These days, just about every couple hires a photographer or videographer to capture their special day on film. Inviting a painter to depict your celebration, though, is totally unexpected. Professional artists such as Attleboro-based Vesna Longton and Stoneham’s Sheila Foley will work throughout the evening to paint a scene from your wedding on a colorful canvas. It’s both a unique way to entertain guests and a keepsake you’ll be able to walk away with at the end of the night.

A Mobile Bartender
Whether you’re having a backyard wedding in need of bar service or are simply looking to add an undeniably Instagrammable element to your day, a bar on wheels will do the trick. As the husband-and-wife duo behind Hive Events, Alex and Lance Davis and their team of talented mixologists pull up to weddings in one of two vehicles: a 1983 airstream trailer turned ultra-chic lounge or a vintage tap truck. No matter what you choose, they’ll mix and serve a custom menu of handcrafted cocktails, wines, and beers throughout your event.
